The recall list includes popular aerosol dry shampoo and conditioner spray products from Aussie, Waterless, Pantene, and Herbal Essences produced in the United States.
Other previously discontinued aerosol dry shampoo products from Hair Food and Old Spice were also recalled, due to the presence of benzene detected in some products.
A complete list of the recalled products has been provided by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
If you or someone you know is using any of the products on the list, please discontinue use right away and contact our skilled personal injury lawyers in New Mexico and Texas today to determine how we can hold the manufacturer liable for any injuries or illnesses they have caused.
What is Benzene and Why is it Hazardous to Your Health?
Benzene is a cancer-causing agent, or carcinogen, which can be increasingly dangerous when absorbed through the skin, inhaled, or orally consumed — even unintentionally.
Exposure to benzene liquid or vapor can irritate the throat and eyes cause redness and/or blisters on the skin, and cause blood disorders that can be life-threatening and fatal, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
Benzene has also been linked to causing certain cancers, including leukemia or blood cancer of the bone marrow.
